Use sun block of 40 spf or greater when exposed to the summer sun. Sun damaged skin will not only age faster producing wrinkles and age spots but are at significantly increased risk for cancer. Don't be like this guy, have a skin check!

If you have specific skin lesions that you are concerned about or just want a general skin cancer screen then come by. No appointment needed. A lesion may be biopsied using a shave or punch biopsy and sent to a special lab to determine if it is cancerous.

The above skin lesions are called seborrheic keratosis. The below ones are actinic keratosis. The former are benign but unsightly and can be frozen off easily in the clinic using liquid nitrogen. The latter are actually precancerous but slow to grow. They also can be removed using cryotherapy.

Skin tags can also be easily removed after using local anesthetic - you won't feel a thing!
